September 4 – 6, 2026.
The grand finale of the beautiful Colorado summer season, the Vail Jazz Festival features a jam-packed lineup with several headliners that join together to play in group performances, jam sessions, and inspiring tributes to jazz legends. Located at the Manor Vail Lodge, facing Vail Mountain, the Vail Jazz Festival has cemented its reputation as the premier Labor Day weekend event!
The Vail Jazz Festival is held in conjunction with our signature education program, the Vail Jazz Workshop, taught by our world-renowned instructors.
2026 Artist Lineup & Highlights
The festival features multi-artist jam sessions, unique ensemble pairings, and legendary tributes. The 2026 roster includes:
- The Vail Jazz Party House Band: Featuring John Clayton, Dick Oatts, Terell Stafford, Wycliffe Gordon, Bill Cunliffe, and Lewis Nash.
- Headlining Vocalists & Instrumentalists: Niki Haris, Camille Thurman, Cyrus Chestnut, Jeff Hamilton, Sean Jones, and Bobby Floyd.
- Featured Ensembles: The Fortitude Ensemble, Joel Frahm, Tim Green, Jon Hamar, Tadataka Unno, Mitch Forman, and Steve Kovalcheck.
