John and Gerald Clayton – Amersfoort World Jazz Festival
This year the Amersfoort World Jazz Festival proudly presents father and son John and Gerald Clayton as International Artists In Residence. Both are, also separately from each other, artists of world fame. The legendary double bassist John Clayton (Count Basie) takes to the stages with The New Jazz Orchestra, Orchestra Jazz Siciliana (ITA) and several prominent Dutch artists. Son Gerald Clayton is a six-time Grammy-nominated pianist, composer and bandleader. During Amersfoort World Jazz he plays with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw (JOC) and the National Jazz Youth Orchestra (NJJO) among others.
