Essie Justice Group

Essie Justice Group harnesses the collective power of women with incarcerated loved ones to empower women and end mass incarceration. We are building a loving and powerful network to equip women with the tools and resources to heal family, community, and make social change. Using our Healing to Advocacy curriculum, designed by and for women, we seed groups for women to give and receive support. Together, women access their collective power as leaders and advocates.

The International Society of Bassists was founded by the world-renowned virtuoso Gary Karr in 1967. With nearly 3,000 members in over 40 countries, the ISB publishes a triannual magazine, Bass World, with an eclectic mix of articles about soloists, jazz and orchestral players, early music, pedagogy, international personalities and orchestras and reviews of new print music and recordings, plus monthly e-newsletters and communications.

The California Jazz Foundation is a charitable, nonprofit organization created to aid and assist California jazz musicians in financial or medical crisis. Established in 2006, the Foundation was formed to fulfill an unmet critical need to help these talented artists who have given us so much pleasure over the years – often with so little reward.

The Jazz Education Network is a global non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in the United States of America that seeks to advance jazz education, promote performance and develop new audiences. JEN was founded in 2008 in Chicago and now has over 1,500 members in 23 countries, every USA state and 7 Canadian provinces.

A.S.M.A.C. is an acronym for the “American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers”. The society was formed in 1938 with Robert Russell Bennett as its first President. Its original title was A.S.M.A. The word “Composers” was added to the organization’s name in the late 1980’s.

A.S.M.A.C. is an organization whose mission is to promote the arts of Music Arranging, Composition and Orchestration within the entertainment industry community and the general public.

A.S.M.A.C.’s purpose is to provide its membership a place to make contact with each other to exchange ideas and information about the art of music and the music industry. A.S.M.A.C. seeks to educate and inform both the general public and the commercial arts community about the roles its members play in the creation of music past and present. A.S.M.A.C. also encourages emerging arrangers and composers in their development.

Centrum, in partnership with Fort Worden State Park, is a gathering place for artists and creative thinkers from around the world, students of all ages and backgrounds, and audiences seeking extraordinary cultural enrichment. Centrum promotes creative experiences that change lives.

Vail Jazz is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Vail, Colorado. Through six unique performance series and three signature educational programs, Vail Jazz perpetuates jazz with a focus on young musicians and young audiences.

Gail Boyd is President of Gail W. Boyd, P.C., an entertainment law firm, and Gail Boyd Artist Management, a wholly owned company of the law firm. She is a graduate of De Paul University and De Paul University School of Law. She was a founding partner in Boyd, Staton and Cave, the first African American female law firm in New York. Gail has been involved in entertainment law since 1976. She has been involved specifically in music with a specialty in jazz since 1979. Gail has served as production coordinator for more than fifteen CDs of various jazz artists.
